In China, A new model for food traceability —— Supply chain was built based on the open source Linux Foundation Hyperledger Project fabric. Retail giant Walmart, IBM and Tsinghua University are collaborating ro improve the way food is tracked, transported and sold, using Blockchain technology. The opening food tracking chain will make great use in the supermarket and other supply fields.

Many Chinese authorities have since developed new regulations and national food safety standards, due to the serious concerns about food safety have nearly tripled since 2008. Therefore, China is also shifting its focus from supervision and inspection at ports, towards manufactures in the country of origin, as well as inspection and testing food imports for exporters .

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has since announced a zero tolerance policy for food safety failings. Vice-Premier Zhang Gaoli said that China has made some progress in terms of food safety, although the country is still prone to frequent food safety problems. “It will require continued efforts and management for some time,” the Vice-Premier said, while calling for a scientific and exhaustive food safety management system.

Lendit Fintech Summit: Yu Xuemai to explain “Blockchain + Supply-chain”

The Lendit fintech summit was held in Shanghai, the global industry experts and elites gathered together for the Fintech discussion, and breakout sessions including Blockchain, new finance innovation, banks and so on. The co-founder Yu Xuemai was invited to make the speech of Blockchain application, togethere with the CTO Lou Rongge of WanXiang Blockchain and the vice-president Wang Yunxiang of Foxconn financial platform. The topic is mainly around the combination points of Blockchain and supply chain, the application scene and model, technical choice and many other aspects.

• 2017/03, Hyperledger meetup in Zhejiang University

Hyperledger Meetup was held in Zhejiang University in Hanghzou in March 13^th by Hyperledger( the world’s largest Blockchain alliance). • 2017/04, Baoquan close 25 million yuan angel round funding

Shuqin Tech got close 25 million yuan (~3.6 million USD) angel round funding recently. The funding was led by Dingfeng Capital, Zhejiang Tsinghua Yangtze River Delta Research Institute of Hangzhou Branch, Jia Hui Ze Co., and Dr. Lu Chunquan. With the 10 million yuan seed round funding in May 2016, Baoquan has received 35 million yuan funding so far.

2017 China Blockchain Ranklist: An interview from the CEO GaoHang of Baoquan.com

Question: From your research on Blockchain technology, what’s your view on Blockchain?

Gao: From my working, we take Blockchain as an infrastructure for trustworthy Internet. The trustworthy Internet is different from the available Internet, the characteristics of Blockchain can help to solve the problems of trustworthy transfer and value transfer. It can combine our life with the virtual life, then to promote the development of the whole Internet.

Question: Baoquan.com, based on the new mode of mutual insurance with Blockchain technology, and what is the innovation points?

Gao: Obviously, the most important problem of mutual insurance is the trust issue. In the social network, to ensure the introduce of propensity guidance for the stakeholders. So how to build a transparent network system, using a more efficient way with the online contract to construct such system seems important.

Baoquan.com is a service platform for trustworthy certificate without the third party. These service can provide the network support, legal support and credit support for mutual insurance.

Question: With the application of Blockchain, what is the difficulty for the mutual insurance field?

Gao: It comes from the main aspect: one is for the combination of the current system, insurance is under the way of centralized building. We try to use a decentralized way, it seems not easy. Blockchain can make great use on the breakthrough of data isolution, to realize the data sharing in a valuable way.

Question: What is your opinion for the future development of Blockchain in China?

Gao:At present, Blockchain industry cluster phenomenon moremore arouses the interst, as well as the government, then to promote the development of industry.

There are two technical directions: First, it still has the technical bottlenecks, and can not be applied in any business scenarios. Bitcoin will still hold the leading level. Second, more and more chain will be appeared to satisfy the different business scenarios, such as Ethereum. Baoquan chain is under the developing, it will in a rapid development way.
